Hematopoietic Stem Cell Transplant
Stem cell or cord blood transplant used in hematologic cancer treatment after high-dose chemotherapy and/or radiation conditioning.
Hematopoietic stem cell transplant includes bone marrow, peripheral blood stem cell, and cord blood transplant approaches used in selected blood cancers and other serious diseases. It may involve high-dose chemotherapy and/or total body irradiation followed by infusion of donor or autologous stem cells.
